What do you need to submit before December 7, 2012?
Submit in person the following to Dr. Joaquin Florido-Berrocal in Peck Hall 2331
1. Travel Study Student Application Form
2.
One to two page essay (typed and double spaced) explaining the reasons
why you wish to participate in the program to Seville and how you
anticipate you will benefit academically and personally.
3. Copy of your unofficial SIUE transcript.

SIUE Study Abroad Program in Seville 2013
Tentative
Dates:
May 24 - June 22, 2013
Courses: All
participating students will take the same two courses and earn 6 credit hours
at SIUE. One will be taught by SIUE’s Joaquin Florido Berrocal, Assistant Professor
of Spanish
(for which students will be assessed SIUE tuition) and the other taught by a CEA
Global Campus Seville instructor (for which students will be assessed only the
$75 study abroad fee).
The
courses are:
SPAN 320 SPANISH CONVERSATION (3 credits-If you have taken this class at SIUE, it will be transferred as SPAN 491) - taught by Dr. Joaquin Florido Berrocal
"POPULAR CULTURE IN SPAIN/ANDALUCIA" - CEA Global Campus in Seville course (for which students will earn 3 credit hours in either SPAN 311 or SPAN 491 at SIUE).
SPAN 320 SPANISH CONVERSATION (3 credits-If you have taken this class at SIUE, it will be transferred as SPAN 491) - taught by Dr. Joaquin Florido Berrocal

- CEA course (Popular Culture in Spain/Andalusia)
- Airport pickup at San Pablo Airport in Seville, orientation program and welcome reception
- Housing in homestay accommodations including three meals per day with the family
- 1 day-trip excursions to Jerez and Conil.
- Overnight trip to Portimao, Portugal
- Various cultural activities such as Flamenco show, Isla Magica Ausement Park, Bullfight, Bike Tour, Alcazar visit.
- HTH Worldwide Insurance Plan.

- 3 hours SIUE tuition for SIUE course taught by Dr. Florido: SPAN 320(assessed on Summer 2013 bursar bill)

- Airfare to Seville, Spain (student will make their own flight arrangements)
- Incidental expenses and personal spending
